Questions about the studio, the tools and how we handle privacy, validation and limitations.

What is Hartlow & Mill?

An independent software studio for small self-service utilities. Each tool solves a narrow job and is measured separately.

Why build lots of small tools?

Small tools let us test real demand cheaply. Products with strong usage can grow into deeper paid products; weak ones do not consume months of development.

Why is SEO so important?

Search puts a useful tool in front of someone already trying to solve the problem. We optimize around real search intent, but we do not create thin pages simply to capture keywords.

Do you use AI in every product?

No. AI is used only when it materially improves the result. Deterministic software is preferred when it is faster, cheaper and more reliable.

Will there be paid plans?

Possibly. The default path is a useful free tool first, then a paid layer only when repeat use and payment intent justify it.

How do you handle uploaded files?

Each product explains its actual data flow. Browser-side processing is preferred where practical so files do not need to leave the device.

Does Fabrication Doctor guarantee a file can be manufactured?

No. It identifies likely file issues and warnings. Manufacturing suitability still depends on the machine, material, process and operator.
