Duplicate Cut Line Finder

Catch exact duplicate geometry before the laser traces it twice.

Scan an SVG for conservative same-operation-looking duplicates: identical basic geometry, transform and direct fill/stroke presentation. Different operation colors are not treated as duplicates.

Your SVG stays in this browser. The checker reuses Hartlow’s canonical Fabrication Doctor analyzer.

Why duplicates matter

Two identical cut paths can become two machine passes.

When the same cutting geometry is present more than once, downstream software can treat each instance as a separate operation. Depending on the workflow, that can mean an unnecessary second pass over the same location, extra heat or simply wasted machine time. The safest response is not automatic deletion; it is confirming whether the repeated geometry is actually unintended.

This finder is deliberately conservative. Its duplicate signature includes basic geometry, transform and direct fill/stroke presentation. That allows two geometrically identical lines with different direct operation colors to remain distinct instead of being collapsed as a false duplicate.

What v1 does not call a duplicate

Exact duplicate detection is narrower than overlap detection.

Partial overlaps, nearly identical coordinates, collinear segments and styling inherited through complex CSS can require deeper geometric or application-specific reasoning. v1 does not claim to detect every possible double-cut condition. A CLEAR result means the focused exact same-operation check found nothing, not that every line in the job is unique in every sense.

If the file also has open paths or tiny endpoint gaps, use Open Path & Gap Checker. For combined checks including scale, hidden geometry and other warnings, use Fabrication Doctor.
